4th of July dessert recipe: Brownie and fruit kabobs

Share Button

Looking for a great dessert for your 4th of July party?

Brownie and Fruit Kabobs are the perfect way to add red, white and blue to your party menu.

I found this idea on Pinterest and had to share it. The recipe I found showed that you can drizzle the fruit kabob with fudge sauce.

I prefer my fruit naked, but go for it if you love chocolate on just about everything. You could also serve hot fudge as dipping sauce with these as an alternative.

Here’s what you will need:

Directions:

Bake a pan of brownies and cool them completely (best to make these the night before you make the kabobs. You can also buy brownies at the bakery if you’re short on time.)

Cut brownies into bite sized squares – 2-3″ squares work best

Get a bunch of skewers (find them at the Dollar Store!) and start putting the fruit kabobs together.

Put a brownie square on the kabob, follow with a marshmallow, a strawberry and one or two blueberries.

Repeat ’til you fill the skewer.

Enjoy!
